Tensile (Compression) Module up to 5kN

"

SEM dedicated traction module integrated as a large sample on the SEM motorized stage.

Tensile module (compression) 5 kN (optional 10kN with reinforced version)

This dedicated SEM (and some AFM equipment) tensile module (compression optional) fits like a large sample onto the SEM motorised stage. Specimens must be between 20 and 60 mm long and no more than 5 mm thick.

Different types of supports and jaws are available to enable the equipment to be adjusted to the needs of the desired experiments.

Simple monitoring of deformations

The pulling movement is induced by two parallel worm screws with threads on the left and right. This design keeps the area of interest (in the middle of the sample) stationary thanks to symmetrical traction in opposite directions. This makes it very easy to follow the deformations without having to constantly readjust the sample under the beam.

Software

The control electronics (DDS-3) are controlled via a PC interface with appropriate software (MDS). A large number of test parameters and guided experiment routines are provided.

The software also allows tests to be run cyclically. It also includes routines such as bending compensation and elastic modulus recording. Other functions are included, such as crack recognition, ramps, etc. Image capture and other special functions are available as options.

This traction module up to 5 kN is part of a wide range of mechanical modules, all controllable with the same controller. Compression mode is available as an option.
